Below is a list of the different products that we currently purchase from loggers or landowners. Also included are the
specifications for each product.
1. Hardwood Pulpwood
A. all hardwood species are accepted
B. Maximum diameter at any point on the tree is 30 inches
C. Small end diameter is 2 inches
D. Must be at least 16 foot or longer in length.
2. Pine Pulpwood : NEW
A. Must be at least 16 foot or longer in length.
B. Must be brought in as a straight load not mixed with hardwood.
C. Must be reasonably straight and limbs trimmed, no forked trees.
D. Small end diameter is 2.5 inches
3. Pine Sawlogs
A. Must be sound and fresh cut.
B. Tree length—12” butt or larger with a 6” top size
C. Short logs—Must be cut 14’6 or 16’6. No butt size. Minimum 7” top end
D. Tree length must be over 25’ or longer.
E. All knots must be trimmed flush with the bole of the tree.
4. Cedar Pulpwood : NEW
A. All sizes of cedar accepted and do not have to be sound.
B. No maximum size, but small end needs to be around 2” in diameter
C. Must be at least 16 foot or longer in length.
D. Limbs must be trimmed.
